The Victoria Dalston

Wow! What an awesome pub and venue. I saw Picture Parlour here last night - what a privilege! One gripe though, at closing I waited by the toilet with bags etc while my wife went to the loo. When she came out I needed to go in quick before leaving but the 'bouncer' said no. I was right there, woulda taken me less than a minute and I told him I desperately needed to go but he replied "you can pee outside" and told me to leave. Wow! Not cool. I would have understood if i was outside the pub wanting to come in but i was right at the toilet door and he saw me waiting for my wife to come out. And he was so hostile. I was taken aback and really did not expect this after an amazing night at this really fantastic pub. Pity such an amazing place and evening was scarred by this persons attitude. Would have loved to give 5 stars if it weren't for him and his attitude. Rest of the staff were really nice though and a credit to the place. Come on dude. Don't let the place down. You can be better than this 😀

Quite unfriendly bar staff, a very young and slightly aggressive clientele. The beer is fairly priced but it all feels quite student bar. There are so many nice bar options on Kingsland Road so I think I would always suggest going somewhere there. I don't want to trash this place because it's not awful. I just wouldn't choose to go here again.
